Description
This alert message is valid from 3:30 pm 08th November 2020 and will be TERMINATED at 6 pm 08th November 2020 or sooner if conditions warrant.
A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.

Low-level moisture being advected from the equatorial regions coupled with upper-level divergence over the island has been generating cloudy to overcast skies and moderate to heavy showers across Barbados. Rainfall accumulations of 20mm have already been recorded across some sections of the island and a further 25mm is likely.
Key Message: Residents and visitors should note that the following impacts are imminent during this forecast period :-. Some soil erosion on bared or scarred land surfaces. Water settlements on roads and fields. Increases water levels of existing water bodies (e.g ponds etc.). Some delays on traffic routes in the area.
